32nd BERLIN OPEN DISC GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS, JUNE 14-16 2019
The 32nd Berlin Open Disc Golf Championships 2019 will be held on June 14th-16th at the Volkspark Rehberge in Berlin. This year, we offer this: 50€ players fee, approximately 60% of the players fee will be paid out as prize money. 90 spots and 18 holes on our traditional OB-free course. Of course there will be a players package.
As always, we were a PDGA B-Tier Tournament. The rules of play are the ones published by the PDGA.
Attention please: We are hosting a players party directly after the 2nd round at the headquarter in the park, with DJ Catch as a special guest! And as we want every belly filled we will offer a dinner.
Dinner, beers, putting games and music unter the starry sky in one of the most beautiful parks of Berlin with hopefully mild summer night temperatures – be there or be square! :)
- June 23rd: The tournament is over, the scores / results are online, and we are linking to photos if we are made aware of them (see below).
- June 15th: The results of the first day are online: http://www.pdga.com/tour/event/39130
- April 2nd: Registration phase 3 started, now everyone can register regardless of a rating.
- March 26th: Registration phase 2 opened. Added dinner options. Players who registered during phase 1 will be informed about the options by mail.
- March 19th: Added lunch options. Registration has started (phase 1).
- March 3rd: New initial web page created.
The tournament will be hold at the Volkspark Rehberge, a beautiful park located about 4 km north of the center of Berlin. The location is roughly 2 km east of the Tegel airport and 5 km north of the western part of the city center.
If you understand German (or want to use those links for a computer generated translation), you can find more information about the park from the city administration or the English Wikipedia article.
You can also take a view from above at Google maps or
Bing maps.
The registration process will be similar to year: we have three phases of registration, with the best players being allowed to register first. If you live within Germany, your current D-Rating will be used to determine wether you can register during an earlier phase, if you live outside Germany, your current PDGA-Rating will be used instead. The first phase will be from March 19th to March 25th, the second phase will be from March 26th to April 1st. From April 2nd onwards, everyone will be allowed to register for the tournament, regardless of their rating.
